Is this really free in North Carolina?
Yes. This program is funded through the federal Inflation Reduction Act
Home Energy Rebate Program. Qualified residents do not pay for equipment
or installation, 100% is covered by Energy Saver North Carolina.
What documents are required?
You will typically need to provide proof of income (tax returns or pay stubs),
proof of residency (lease agreement or property tax bill), and a recent utility bill.

Do renters qualify?
Yes! Both homeowners and renters can qualify for Energy Saver North Carolina.
Renters will need landlord approval for the upgrades to proceed.
Is LivSmart a government agency?
No. LivSmart is a private program administrator registered to work with
Energy Saver North Carolina. We help facilitate government-funded energy upgrades,
but we are not a government agency.
